Easy 5 Step Makeup Routine

Get Ready Fast

With all of the Zoom Calls, FaceTime messages, Google Hangouts, and many other video calls happening right now in the world, I have seen a lot of discussion about why these tools don’t have a beauty filter option? Getting ready for all of these things including work or an outing doesn’t have to take a long time and can even be completed in 5 easy steps in under 10 minutes.

5 Easy Steps

Step 1 - Apply your Color Correcting Tinted Moisturizer or Foundation

For video calls I tend to grab my color correcting tinted moisturizer, or CCTM, because it is going to last me throughout the day, color correct enough for any blemishes I may have, and give me a flawless look for camera.

However, you can opt for your foundation for a fuller coverage! If you have other things going on in the day or want a more flawless look, then foundation is the way to go.

Step 2 - Fill in your Eyebrows

I know so many feel like they have bushy brows or that it makes them look off, but filling in your eyebrows SERIOUSLY makes all the difference to your makeup routine. It really helps to shape your face and bring the attention in on your eyes.

I use Rustic Brown ShadowSense for this, but other great options are Moca Java, Smoked Topaz, Onyx, and even Garnet. If you want help color matching a shade for your eyebrows let me know and I’d be happy to help!

Step 3 - Add Some Blush

For me when I’m quick and on the go this means my Silver Rose Translucid Powder. That way it provides the rosy cheeks I’m looking for, a little sparkle for some highlight, and absorbs oil throughout the day.

However, you can definitely opt to use our BlushSense shades. Two of my go to colors are Toasted Rose and Chocolate Cherry. By adding blush you are adding some color back to your cheeks, especially since you cancelled out the color differences with CCTM.

Step 4 - Do something to accentuate your eyes!

This step is a little more versatile depending on your taste. You can pick either to use an eyeliner for your eyes or add some mascara. For me, if I have to pick one or the other these days I totally opt for mascara to give my lashes a boost in length and really highlight my eyes.

However, if you asked me back in my high school and college days it was for sure eyeliner. Both our VolumeIntense Mascaras and Pencil eyeliners are sure to be your best friend for a quick on the go look pick me up.

Step 5 - Add some color to your lips!

This step also has some options for you. Whether adding some color to your lips is reaching for your favorite gloss, balm, or LipSense this step just completes your look and ties everything together.

If you need help finding the perfect color for your quick getting ready days I’d be happy to help. Or you can browse the options on our LipSense and Gloss pages. I tend to opt for a tinted gloss on days I’m running late or need a quick put together look.

No matter how much time you have you can always apply the makeup that makes you feel the best! Doesn’t have to be a full face all the time, I mean I surely do my fair share of ‘skincare days,’ but utilize makeup to make you FEEL your best because you already LOOK your best by being you!
